Cookies are small browser records sent with requests. Local storage stays in your browser and is not automatically sent to our server. This is the storage used by this site:
Necessary: your choice
eld.consent is a localStorage entry containing the consent version, necessary and advertising choices, and the time you saved them. It remembers your decision on this browser. It has no automatic expiry: it remains until you change your choice or clear site data. The previous el_cookie_consent_v1 entry is migrated and removed.
Necessary: administrator authentication
Supabase authentication cookies (sb-<project-ref>-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered chunks) are set only when using the /admin sign-in area. They maintain and refresh an authorised administrator’s login. The SDK gives these cookies a lifetime of up to 400 days, renewed during authentication; signing out removes them. They are scoped to this site so authenticated admin API requests work. Ordinary directory browsing does not create these cookies.
Optional: advertising
Google AdSense and DoubleClick cookies are permitted only after advertising consent. They support ad delivery, personalisation, frequency limits, fraud prevention and measurement. No AdSense script or ad slot is loaded before that choice.
Google documents session cookies and persistent advertising cookies lasting up to 13 months (such as __gads). Some DoubleClick cookies, including IDE, have regional lifetimes: up to 13 months in the EEA and UK, and longer elsewhere, including South Africa. The cookies actually set depend on the ads served and your browser settings. See Google’s cookie inventory and Google’s cookie documentation for individual durations.
Change or withdraw your choice
Open Privacy settings at any time and select Only necessary, or turn Advertising off and save. We remove the AdSense script and our ad slots immediately. Reload the page to stop Google code already running. Withdrawal does not delete cookies Google has already set: use your browser’s cookie controls to remove them. Clearing site storage also removes your saved choice; advertising will be off again until you agree.
The directory remains available if you decline advertising. We do not install a separate analytics cookie. Google Fonts is loaded for typography and involves requests to Google even with advertising off; it is not controlled by the advertising choice.
